The Akira Project is a fan-made live action trailer based on the Akira manga and anime. The director and producer, Nguyen-Anh Nguyen, has been a die-hard fan since the age of 12 and decided to challenge himself into making a fan-trailer. We shot at the beginning of November 2012 and the product is expected to be released in Fall 2013. I loved being part of this ambitious project and trying to create a world that is true to the original work. As the animated action-film was released in 1988, the feel of the costumes, the dirtiness, the colours should remind you of 80s and 90s movies. I tried to make every thing "Ninja Turtles dirty".
